No matter the size a leaking roof can be stressful, a small roof leak can go unnoticed for some period of time and result in the development of mold which requires abatement. Large roof leaks are usually noticed right away and require more extensive resources to correct. Sometimes you can’t find the roof leak due to the design of the structure, these are the leaks that often result in long-term damage. For most residential roofs we recommend having them inspected periodically after the roof is 15 years old, or in the event of any wind and hail producing storm. Having wind or hail damage typically does not result in an immediate leak but more or less depreciates the roof over time. Recognizing the damage immediately allows you to make any remedial repairs necessary to ensure the lasting condition of your roof and your home.
